Hello blog, today my partner and I finalized our idea for the film opening. YAYYY I'm so excited to start the production process on this journey. We still need to develop the characters, storyboard, and script, but here is the idea:
So basically, we want to focus on the physiological side rather than the romance for the film openingThe idea of the therapy room was actually from a classmate from my partner's group meeting, and we decided to integrate it so that the audience knows she is deteriorating her mental health.
Our main inspiration
Our main inspiration for this film opening is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, as you can tell from my previous blogs, I have mentioned it quite a few times. We structured the opening around this film; it's similar to developing a single character and showing what they are going through psychologically.
We were also heavily inspired by ourselves, being in high school and feeling the need to be perfect all the time to get a higher class rank, to be smart, to go to a great college, and to be successful. I think this film concept is something we both relate to, and I'm so excited to create this piece and share it with others.
